As if I wasn’t already anticipating Edgar Wright’s (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) big screen adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s instant classic comic books, this theatrical trailer comes along and just blows me away.
The teaser that debuted a few months ago was a tantalising glimpse, but still left a few things uncertain, namely, would Scott the movie share the same vibe that made the comics so memorable, or would it be a looser adaptation? Well, comic fans, rejoice! This new trailer perfectly captures the energy and style of the comics, and is one truly excellent example of trailer-making (trailercraft?) on its own.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World releases this August, and I. Can. Not. Wait.
